How to identify whether the wheel hub bearing fails?

Nowadays, most cars use tapered roller bearings and bearing units, and it has been developed to the fourth generation. This type of bearing can effectively disperse the axial force brought by the wheel impact, but it also needs observation and maintenance. So how to judge whether the wheel hub bearing is faulty?

WHEEL HUB BEARING

1. If the hub bearing is faulty, there will be an obvious buzzing sound at 60-80 MPH. This sound is different from tire noise. We can determine whether the hub bearing is loose by controlling the left and right swing of the car body, because it will change the sound size with the swing of the car body.

2. Because the hub bearing wear loose to a certain extent, the upper and lower longitudinal shaking of the tire can feel the sense of clearance, and the left and right shaking of the tire is to check whether the direction machine is loose, so why the daily maintenance operation will shake the tire, is to detect whether the bearing with the direction machine wear.

3. For the hub bearing of the third generation integrated sensor, if its sensor fails, ABS lights, EPS lights and so on will be lit. Of course, not all ABS lights are lit because the bearing is broken, and some wheel speed sensors and bearings are separated.

4. There is another fault phenomenon, that is, high-speed shaking vibration of the body. There are many reasons for this fault phenomenon, among which there are vibration caused by bad hub bearings.
